It is 13 kilometres, a short 28-minute drive, southwest of the Central Business District of Melbourne. This suburb is within the local government area of the City of Hobsons Bay.
Living in Seaholme The Seaholme railway station serves the suburb on Victoria's Werribee line. The city centre of Melbourne can be accessed from Seaholme by train, the Williamstown Ferry or Princess Ferry, and by bus.
In Seaholme are the Cheetham Wetlands, which are excellent for bird watching, and the Open Range Zoo. The Fell Reserve has some outdoor games, a picnic area, and pathways along nearby Cherry Lake.
The H C Kim Reserve, near Cherry Lake, is dedicated to sporting competitions. It has a clubhouse and some ovals. The Frazer Reserve, on the other hand, is a small park across Altona Beach.
History of Seaholme Seaholme has suffered from the 2017 closure of the Toyota Altona plant. The suburb experienced some loss in economic confidence from the locals due to the closure of the plant. The Seaholme opened in 1951 but was closed in 1971.
